Service Description

Hands-on 3D design and 3D printing training for K–12 teachers. Learn to integrate 3D projects into your curriculum, manage printers, and engage students in creative STEM learning. Full description (course page) This hands-on course provides practical training for educators on 3D design software and 3D printing techniques. Participants will learn how to integrate 3D printing projects into their classrooms, design student-centered activities, and troubleshoot printers effectively. By the end of the course, teachers will be prepared to engage students in creative, technology-driven STEM learning experiences. In each session, educators will: Practice using classroom-friendly 3D design and slicing software Design and print sample classroom projects they can reuse with students Learn best practices for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting 3D printers Explore how 3D printing connects to STEM, arts integration, robotics, and engineering practices This in-person course meets for 6 sessions, each 2.5 hours long, over 6 consecutive weeks in the summer. Sessions are synchronous, interactive, and focused on real classroom applications. The training is contained within the summer session and is not ongoing during the school year. Details / logistics Location: InnoAddi Education Center, 1403 Massachusetts Ave #1, Lexington, MA 02420 Schedule: 6 in-person sessions, 2.5 hours each (total 15 hours) over 6 consecutive weeks (summer term) Cost: 450 USD PDPs/Credits: 30 PDPs Format: In-person, small group, hands-on Audience: Elementary, middle, and high school educators (STEM, computer science, engineering, art/STEAM, robotics, and maker educators)

Cancellation Policy

Registration & Attendance All students must register for a specific class before attending. Students are only considered “in class” during registered hours. Early arrivals or late pickups require parent/guardian supervision. Students must leave promptly after class. Supervision & Safety Instructors guide students during class time but do not provide supervision before or after. Parents may drop off children but must provide an emergency contact and stay reachable. We will contact parents immediately if a student needs assistance or becomes distressed. Behavior & Expectations Students are expected to act respectfully and work cooperatively. Disruptive behavior or equipment damage may result in removal without refund. Students must follow all safety guidelines when using 3D printers and design tools. Health Acknowledgment By participating, parents/guardians confirm the student: Has no health conditions that prevent safe participation. Will notify instructors of any health changes. Is able to sit/stand for extended periods. Safety & Equipment Policies Equipment is for educational use only. Students must receive instruction before using any 3D printer or tools. No touching/modifying printers without permission. PLA filament is included; overuse may incur extra fees. Students are responsible for cleaning their stations after use. Report injuries or issues immediately; never operate machines without proper training. Cancellation, Refund & Weather Policies Full refund (minus 10% fee) if canceled 3+ weeks before class. 100% credit for cancellations 2+ weeks before class. No refund for last-minute cancellations unless due to medical emergency (with documentation). Weather-related cancellations will be posted online and emailed. If local schools are closed, classes will be canceled or rescheduled. Authorization & Liability I authorize emergency medical care if needed. I allow the use of class photos/videos for educational promotion. I waive liability claims against INNOADDI INC. and its team for participation in the class.
